Case 7 History ---- [11yo male with a one month history of headaches, with worsening in the past day. Imaging shows a midline cerebellar mass. Operative procedure: Craniotomy for resection of tumor.] ---- 7A1-3 The neoplasm is composed of regions of small round to slightly angulated hyperchromatic cells without appreciable cytoplasm. These are distributed in a finely granular eosinophilic background. The mitotic activity is brisk and frequent apoptotic cellular debris is present. Homer Wright rosettes are seen focally and some regions show a suggestion of nodularity. Still other areas of the neoplasm show an anaplastic appearance with nucleoli and enlarged nuclei. Several regions of micronecrosis are identified.
