GFAP highlights reactive-appearing astrocytes which are most likely entrapped. ---- Not shown: There is some focal chromogranin staining, particularly in the areas where the neoplastic cells appear more mature. Rare cells are positive for neurofilament. The majority of tumor cells are positive for Bcl-2. The neoplasm is predominantly reticulin poor with only focal areas showing positivity, possibly reflecting leptomeningeal invasion.
