4A4-11 In addition there are other areas, bordering, but separate from the above. These are characterized by the presence of many large, elongated cells with abundant eosinophilic cytoplasm and nuclei with a prominent nucleolus. Cross striations can be seen in some of these cells, which show also strong cytoplasmic positivity for desmin, myoglobin and actin, confirming their myoblastic differentiation.
