Case 6 History ---- The patient is a 35-year-old man with a right temporal tumor. Operative procedure: Right frontotemporal craniotomy for tumor resection with IMRIS/Stealth guidance. ---- 6A1-3 Sections show a diffusely infiltrating glial neoplasm with gemistocytes, fibrillary processes and multiple microcysts. In other areas, the tumor is more hypercellular and the tumor cells show atypical and hyperchromatic nuclei. Occasional tumor cells with multiple nuclei are also present. Multiple mitotic figures are seen (3/10 HPF). Multiple areas of necrosis and multiple hyalinized glomeruloid vessels are also identified.
