Sections of the tumor exhibits a relatively hypocellular, well-encapsulated (i.e. by the dural sheath) tumor with a biphasic pattern, including areas with a relatively loose, net-like pattern alternating with more solid-appearing areas with numerous Rosenthal fibers and eosinophilic granular bodies. Mitotic figures are not seen.
