13B1,2 The H&E stained sections showed an astrocytic glioma with a marked increase in density and moderate atypia. In the cerebellum the tumor showed significant cellular pleomorphism with focal areas of pseudopalisading necrosis and recent hemorrhage. Prominent endothelial cells were noted in some of the small vessels in that area. Transverse tracts appeared displaced but not disrupted by tumor in several areas, particularly the pons .
