The unfixed brain weighed 1350g with evidence of prior surgery in the left temporal-parietal cortex.
14A1,2 Sectioning of the brain revealed a white-tan solid tumor which had destroyed the left basal ganglia, thalamus and hypothalamus. The tumor extended from the anterior commissure to the pulvinar nucleus caudally and compressed the left lateral ventricle and third ventricle.
