The tumor cells show strong, diffuse reactivity for p53, consistent with a mutant p53 pattern. ---- Not shown: Ki-67 (MIB-1 antibody) highlights a proliferation index of 30-40%. ---- Comment: Before analysis the radiographic appearance and age of the patient suggested that this was a DMG. It was not. Instead, these histomorphological and immunohistochemical findings support the "integrated" diagnosis: Anaplastic astrocytoma, IDH1 (p.R132H) positive by immunohistochemistry, WHO grade 3
