Case 1 History ---- The patient is a 22-year-old right-handed female who presented with a severe sudden onset of occipital headache, the worst headache in her life like an explosion in her head at 1:45AM. She has a history of migraines, but this is not the same as her usual migraine headache. She also reports photophobia and neck stiffness along with pain when lifting her legs straight in the air. This pain radiates down both her legs bilaterally. Preceding this episode, she has had a 3 week history of vertigo and nausea, initially attributed to pregnancy which was not confirmed. She initially presented to an OSH where a head computed tomography was performed and was negative. In view of her symptoms, she was transferred to BJH for further assessment and care. Operative procedure: Resection Diagnosis: Ependymoma, WHO Grade 2.
