Case 14 History ---- The patient is a one-year-old boy with spinal cord tethering. Operative procedure: Laminectomy with detethering. ---- 14A1-4 Sections from the sacral skin show the presence of a papillary and myxoid lesion located in the deep dermis and abutting the subcutis. The lesion shows some palisading of the papillae. The microscopic features are those of a micro-extramedullary myxopapillary ependymoma. (H&E)
