Case 18 History ---- The patient is a 57 year old man with a history of mental retardation and colon cancer; transferred from an outside hospital on June 6th for further evaluation of a spinal tumor. MRI shows a large heterogenous, intradural extra-axial mass. ---- The neoplasm has a papillary architecture and is composed of monomorphic, uniform cells with round to oval nuclei and indistinct cytoplasmic borders. The vasculature shows extensive hyalinization of vessel walls. No significant mitotic activity is seen. Mucin staining was performed and is negative.
