Case 4 History ---- The patient is a 37 year old man with low back pain, found to have a discrete lumbar intradural mass. Operative procedure: resection of intradural mass. ---- 4A1,2 The gross specimen represents the filum terminale involved by the neoplasm which is shown externally and in cut section and has a gelatinous appearance.
