1H1 Ependymoma, tanycytic (Case 1) EM 2 - Copy
1H1,2 Electron microscopic examination failed to reveal definitive evidence of ependymal differentiation such as zipper-like intercellular junctions. However, there are prominent intermediate filament laden processes and a few structures consistent with cilia (arrow, 1H2). Also pertinent, the tumor cells are not enclosed in basement membrane.
