Case 12 History ---- The patient was an 18 month old boy with a large head since birth and progressive ataxia and gait difficulty. MRI of the brain shows a large 4th ventricular (posterior fossa) mass lesion with extension into the left cerebellopontine angle and hydrocephalus. Operative procedure: Suboccipital/posterior fossa craniectomy with bilateral Cervical C1 laminectomy for resection of this 4th ventricular and left CPA tumor. ---- 12A1-3 MRI Studies: 12A1,2This T1-weighted scan shows a 4th ventricle hypointense mass (12A1) which enhances with contrast (12A2) and extends into the brainstem.
