Ki-67 shows an elevated labeling index that reaches ~40% in multiple foci. ---- Not shown: The neoplastic cells are negative for EMA. ---- Comment: The findings are those of an ependymoma, WHO grade 3. The presence of hypercellularity, increased mitotic index, and an elevated Ki-67 labeling index argue in favor of a WHO grade 3 lesion.
