The proliferative index is low including giant cells which are minimally labelled ranging up to ~ 5%, focally. (Ki67 IHC)

Neurofilament shows no reactivity within tumor cells, and reveals no entrapped axonal processes, consistent with an intraventricular, non-infiltrative growth pattern. ---- Comment: These histomorphological and immunohistochemical features are most consistent with Ependymoma, WHO Grade 2. Because giant cells are uncommon within (but not inconsistent with) this entity, we included mention of them in the final diagnosis.
