The majority of the tumor is composed of small, cuboidal, cohesive cells with high nuclear-to-cytoplasmic ratio, hyperchromatism, and nuclear molding, growing in small cords and nests within a mucoid matrix and in a perivascular "tumor survival" sparing pattern, features of adenoid morphology.
