19A0 Case 19 History
Case 19 History ---- The patient is a 62-year-old man who presented with increased weakness and shortness of breath. He became more confused in the ED and had difficulty performing tasks such as buttoning his clothes. Upon further discussion, he endorsed a headache for three days and left lower extremity weakness. His family reported confusion for a couple of weeks, as well as difficulty with coordination of his left upper extremity. A CT demonstrated a large right temporoparietal multicystic mass. A CT of the abdomen and pelvis showed no evidence of primary or metastatic disease. The solid enhancing components demonstrated elevated relative cerebral blood volume and peripheral diffusion restriction, with no central diffusion restriction. Operative Procedure: Right craniotomy for tumor resection.
