The tumor is highly cellular and shows multiple morphologic appearances. In some areas, the tumor cells have oval nuclei with small nucleoli, and variable quantities of eosinophilic cytoplasm. Other tumor cells are smaller and form clusters and gland like spaces. There is an abundant myxoid background and some spindled elements as well. The mitotic index is brisk and there is endothelial hyperplasia in multiple foci. (H&E)
