The tumor is highly vascular and scattered intravascular thromboses are evident with hemosiderin containing macrophages. Some of the tumor vessels are also markedly hyalinized. ---- No definite microvascular proliferation is evident. There is a vague suggestion of pseudopalisading necrosis focally, although the majority of the tumor necrosis appears infarct-like.
