5B1-3 The gliomatous component shows strong GFAP expression in the giant cell and small cell components. ---- Additional Immunohistochemistry (not shown): p53 stains some of the tumor cells. The Ki-67 proliferation index is high with staining of the majority of tumor cells. Based on histomorphological features and immunostaining profile, this neoplasm was called a glioblastoma, WHO grade IV with focal giant cell and sarcomatous areas.
