Ki-67 shows very high proliferation within epithelioid and mesenchymal regions, particularly in areas with primitive cell growth pattern. ---- Ancillary studies (not shown): Neurofilament exclusion attests to predominantly solid tumor growth although there are scattered entrapped axon fragments. Tumor cells are negative for neurofilament. FISH studies showed polysomy of chromosome 10 with loss of 10q. There was polysomy of chromosome 7 without EGFR gene amplification.
