Ki67 immunoreactivity is markedly increased (>50%) in the PNC areas (Ki67 IHC) ---- Ancillary studies (not shown): Mutant IDH1 (R132H) is negative. CD34 is negative in tumor cells, although some areas of the tumor have an unusual vascular pattern reflecting endothelial proliferation. ---- FISH showed no evidence of EGFR gene amplification, although there was polysomy of chromosome 7. Assessment of loss of 10q (PTEN) was not informative. There was no co-deletion of the chromosomal regions 1p and 19q. There was no amplification of the N-MYC or C-MYC genes.
