Tumor cells also show strong diffuse positivity for IDH1. (IDH1 R132H IHC) ---- Ancillary findings: P53 shows strong nuclear positivity in a subset of neoplastic cells. FISH studies show co-deletion of chromosome 1p and chromosome 19q. There was no evidence of EGFR amplification (see below). ---- Comment The findings are those of an anaplastic oligodendroglioma (WHO grade III). Deletions of both 1p and 19q were identified as well as evidence of polysomy 7 (chromosomal gain). There was no evidence of EGFR gene amplification.
