18B1-5 Sections of the right frontal tumor show an infiltrating malignant glioma with extensive infarct-like geographic necrosis, focal pseudopalisading necrosis, and microvascular proliferation. Cytologically, tumor cells display relative uniformity with round nuclear contour and open vesicular chromatin. The mitotic rate is quite brisk with up to 6 mitotic figures in a single high power field. (H&E)
