The tumor cells are small, somewhat elongate, and relatively uniform, with a high mitotic index (H&E) ---- FISH (not shown): There was no evidence of 1p/19q deletion, a normal dosage (i.e., two copies) of chromosome 1, and polysomy (gain) of chromosome 19. In addition, the tumor shows amplification of the EGFR locus and loss of tumor suppressor gene PTEN.
