FISH studies provide evidence of polysomy of chromosome 7, EGFR gene amplification and chromosome 10q deletion. There was no evidence of 1p/19q deletions. ---- An immunohistochemical stain for p53 shows scattered strong positivity. The neoplastic cells are negative for mutant IDH1 (R132H).
