Case 11 History ---- The patient was a 78 year old male with a 15 year history of Parkinson's disease and an 8 year history of chronic lymphocytic leukemia. In May, 1989 the patient was diagnosed with a brain tumor on the basis of CT scans (no tissue diagnosis made). The patient had been treated with Oexamethasone since the diagnosis of his brain tumor; further radiotherapy or chemotherapy were not given due to his extensive medical problems. The patient was severely debilitated and fed via a gastrostomy tube at the time of his death. He expired 8 months from pneumonia after his brain tumor diagnosis.
