Posterior areas show tumor and the effect of implanted gliadel wafers (21A6). ---- Not shown: Multiple sections of the left frontal, parietal, temporal and occipital neocortices show extensive infiltration by glioblastoma multiforme posteriorly with superimposed tissue loss, acute inflammation, axonal spheroids, macrophages and astrocytosis anteriorly, consistent with superimposed infarction, radiation necrosis and chemotherapy.
