Coronal sections of the cerebral hemispheres show expansion of the white matter with left > right side, and in several foci there is loss of the grey/white junction. The expansion of the white matter is predominant in the left frontal and parietal regions. Other prominent findings include a markedly thickened corpus callosum and the septum pellucidum.
