Sections of the occipital cortex show a 3 x 2 cm focus inferior involving the striate cortex where there is an area of congestion with tan-brown hemorrhagic focus located predominantly in the cortical ribbon, suspicious for hemorrhagic infarct in the posterior cerebral artery territory as part of herniation of the left uncus.
