1B5 Astrocytoma, diffuse (Case 1) H&E frontal cortex 1
1B5-7 The histopathologic appearance of the great majority of the white matter in this case consists of elliptical cells with delicate bland chromatin, lacking halos and mitoses, with no evidence of microvascular proliferation or necrosis. The bulk of the tumor was thought to represent a grade II astrocytoma. This case was prosected 43 years ago and no material remains for molecular analysis, including wet tissue or paraffin blocks. (H&E)
