S100 immunoreactive cells are prominently clustered around cortical neurons. ---- P53 was positive in rare scattered cells. IDH1 was immunonegative for mutant R132H by IHC. FISH studies did not identify 1p/19q co-deletion. The findings are those of an anaplastic astrocytoma, WHO grade III with a growth pattern meeting the requirements for designation as gliomatosis cerebri.
