The tumor cells show focal weak to moderate p53 expression. ---- Microvascular proliferation or necrosis was not encountered. The overall features are those of an anaplastic astrocytoma (WHO grade III) and in conjunction with radiological findings are consistent with gliomatosis cerebri.
