FISH showed polysomy of chromosome 7 without loss of whole chromosome 10 in the absence of EGFR amplification. There was no evidence of 1p/19q co-deletion. ---- Ancillary studies showed nuclear immunoreactivity for P53 in a subpopulation of cells. An IDH1 (R132H) immunostain was negative. S100 highlighted astrocytes with mild atypia.
