Case 8 History ---- The patient is a 8 year old girl hospitalized initially at 7 years with seizures and increased right sided weakness with a diffuse lesion involving the temporal lobe, deep gray and rostral midbrain. Presurgical opinion was that the findings most likely represented infiltrating glioma or, less likely, acute disseminated encephalomyelitis (ADEM) or infectious encephalitis. Operative procedure: Brain biopsy, left temporal lobe.
