Staining for p53 shows positive nuclear staining within much of the tumor. ---- Ancillary studies (not shown): Synaptophysin staining highlight neuropil and shows immunoreactivity within some of the glial areas, especially the more primitive areas. Immunohistochemical staining for SMA shows patchy positive immunoreactivity within the both glial and sarcomatous areas. Desmin staining show focal faint immunoreactivity within the sarcomatous region.
