Immunohistochemistry was performed to attempt to sort out the nature of several populations of tumor cells forming the gliosarcoma. ---- 1B1 Compare this nodule with the same areas shown with H&E in 1A1. GFAP immunohistochemistry outlines the glial elements in a haphazard pattern which is positive in gliomatous islands but is lacking in sarcomatoid areas. (GFAP IHC)
