FISH was performed on the initial specimen and showed chomosome 10q deletion (glioblastoma-like alteration), as well as MYC-C gene amplification (PNET-like alteration). Additionally, there was evidence for polysomies (gains) of chromosomes 2, 7 and 8. ---- In the second specimen, only the glioma component was found and there was evidence of marked treatment effects, including extensive infarct-like necrosis.
