The neurosurgical specimen is a high-grade diffuse glioma (glioblastoma with WT IDH1, retained ATRX, p53 weak to moderate reactivity in a subset of tumor cells.) with both fibrillary and gemistocytic components. Microvascular proliferation is identified but no definitive necrosis is seen.
