Case 5 History ---- The patient was an 81 year old man with a prior history of colon cancer who presented with a left frontoparietal tumor radiographically suggestive of meningioma. ---- 5A1,2 Sections reveal a highly anaplastic intraparenchymal neoplasm displaying haphazard and fascicular growth patterns. Although some regions display a relatively discrete margin, an infiltrative glial component is evident at the interface with adjacent brain parenchyma. The neoplastic cells display marked pleomorphism, high mitotic index, and are associated with endothelial hyperplasia and extensive necrosis.
