Case 1 History ---- This 38 year old female developed grand mal seizures following head trauma 9 years prior which were well controlled on medication. One year prior to death she had progressive dementia and memory loss, involuntary movements of the right hand, and grimacing. ---- Pneumoencephalogram was performed at BH in 11/1968 with poor results. Later that evening she was found completely unresponsive. ---- 1A At autopsy the left temporal lobe was soft with enlarged flattened gyri , shallow sulci and poor demarcation from the white matter. Swelling surrounding the neoplasm extended throughout the left centrum semiovale, anteriorly to the rostrum of the corpus callosum and posteriorly to the splenium. No hemorrhage or necrosis was noted.
