Case 3 History ---- The patient was a 29 year old male with a right frontal-temporal lobe low grade glioma diagnosed in August 1993. His partial complex seizures were controlled initially with radiation, repeat MRI showed a mass consistent with the glioma affecting the right fronto-temporal area as well as the basal ganglia. He had been seizure free for four years until two weeks prior to admission at the age of 36 when he began having seizures again. He was admitted to the Neurology Service with complaints of three days of nausea, vomiting and mental status changes. On 7/2000 he was found apneic and pulseless and in ventricular fibrillation. Resuscitative measures were taken but the patient expired.
