Case 12 History ---- The patient is a 28 year old man with a brain tumor. Operative procedure: Left frontal craniotomy for tumor resection. ---- 12A1,2 Sections of the resected left frontal tumor show sheets of neoplastic cells and grey and white matter involved to a varying degree by an infiltrating glioma with oligodendroglial differentiation. Mini-gemistocytes are common. Affected grey matter shows perineuronal satellitosis. A microglial response to invading tumor cells is also present. Mitotic activity is not observed.
