H&E stained sections show cerebral cortex and subcortical white matter involved by a diffusely infiltrative oligodendroglial glioma with mild to moderate hypercellularity. Secondary structures are conspicuous as are microcysts, perineuronal halos and limited mitotic activity that focally reaches up to 3/10HPF. Microvascular proliferation and/or tumor necrosis are not evident.
