Case 26 History ---- The patient is a 56-year-old female with a history of oligodendroglioma grade 2 diagnosed in 1995 status post resection and radiation with recurrence as anaplastic oligodendroglioma grade 3 in 2002 status post re-resection and Temodar who presents with concern for recurrent anaplastic oligodendroglioma of the temporal lobe. Operative Procedure: Craniotomy ---- 26A H&E shows a diffuse infiltrative oligodendroglioma. Most tumor cells are small with vacuolated cytoplasm, chicken wire vasculature without microvascular proliferation, and sparse mitoses focally increased to ~6+/10 HPF. No tumor necrosis is identified. Prominent perineuronal satellitosis and scattered microcalcifications are identified.
