Ki-67 proliferation rate is focally 6.8%. ---- The tumor cells are diffusely positive for OLIG2 and GFAP. ATRX nuclear expression is retained and p53 immunoreactivity is limited to rare tumor nuclei (suggestive of 'wildtype' staining). Mitotic activity places this tumor in the anaplastic oligodendroglioma, Grade 3 category. ---- Fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) study shows 1p/19q co-deletions.
