The lesion is seen infiltrating in the surrounding brain parenchyma tracing along vasculature and demonstrating satellitosis. The nuclei exhibit moderate pleomorphism and mitotic activity is brisk. Foci of necrosis and endothelial proliferation are readily seen. These features are of a recurrent/persistent anaplastic oligodendroglioma, WHO grade 3.
