Case 1 History ---- The patient was a 19-year-old man with long-standing medically refractory epilepsy. Surgical implantation of electrodes into the brain (SEEG) was performed and confirmed a medial temporal onset for his seizures, with MRI showing a mesial subtle temporal pole T2 signal abnormality. Operative procedure: Anterior craniotomy and temporal lobectomy. ---- 1A1,2 The neoplastic process (arrow, A1) consists of a cellular collection of glial cells whose nuclei vary from elliptical to round with delicate chromatin and microvascularity, closely resembling an oligodendroglioma.
