There is strong CD34 immunoreactivity in this region of the tumor in cell bodies and processes. (CD34 IHC) ---- Ancillary information (not shown): The immunohistochemically stained sections show strong GFAP reactivity within most tumor cells, moderate-to-strong reactivity within multiple patches of tumor cells for synaptophysin (paranuclear dot-like and cytoplasmic patterns), and moderate-to-strong reactivity for p53 in the majority of tumor cell nuclei. Reactivity for proliferation marker Ki67 stains a regionally variable subset of tumor nuclei with moderate to strong reactivity, ranging very focally up to ~5-10% (corresponding to the area with observed mitotic activity). ---- The same diagnosis was repeated from the 2008 resection: "Residual/recurrent glial neoplasm with ependymal and low-grade histomorphologic features and Genomic alterations of 2008 resection include: PIK3R1 R577del, RAD50 M735fs*1, TERT promoter -146C>T"
